Lito Lorenzana, president of the Centrist Democracy Political Institute (CDPI), in a media briefing on MalacaƱang based on their timeline plan, will be addressed by the Constitutional Assembly (Con-Ass) or the Constitutional Convention (Con-con) Law and may be adopted in February 2019 plebiscite.
Lorenzana said that by May 2022 the first parliamentary elections will be underway under the new Federal Constitution to form a unicameral parliament with a term of five years or until 2025.

But because the President said he would go down to the spot when it comes to 2022, the parliament will elect a new president to continue the remaining term of Duterte under the federal government.
By 2025, there will be a second regular parliamentary elections with five terms until 2030 and here will be the new Prime Minister and the new President.
Lorenzana said they will submit their proposed amendment to the 1987 Constitution by President Duterte's 25-year commission in the coming days.
